Happy Birthday to my Best Friend Forever, Ann!
Happy Birthday Friend! I just couldn't help laughing at us as I looked through all the pictures I have. I can't believe how young we are in most of them. Ann and I met when I started working at ATG (I know we were meant to be friends and that's why I ended up working at the airport). We honestly really didn't like each other very much.....Oh, how things have changed! We have had so many fun times over the last 12 years; a fun trip to California and Mexico, camping at the Nephi KOA, a muddy weekend at my Grandma's cabin, Christmas parties, good and bad work days, 6 babies, enrichment nights (hers are the BEST), and lots and lots of phone calls, just to name a few. I miss living close to my friend, but I think in some ways we are closer than when I did live by her and we saw each other lots. She is always there to listen to me whine and vent and then she gives me good advice. She has been a great example to me over the years, and has stood by me through everything. She is the best mom and a SUPER talented decorator. She is compassionate, thoughtful, a great cook, a germ-phobe (I had to add that), classy, super organized, a great listener and well, the best friend I could ever ask for! Everyone deserves to have a friend like her! Happy Birthday Friend, I hope you have a great day!
Also, HAPPY 8TH BIRTHDAY CARSON! We love you buddy!

This Week I'm Thankful For......
It's been awhile since I did a thankful list, so here goes
- My Mother-in-law, Jeannie~ She raised a great son and she is a good grandma who truly loves my kids (plus they really, love her). HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEANNIE! I hope you have a great day!
- A clean house~ I know I mentioned this before, but it just makes everything better to have a clean house, I know it won't last, but I'm going to sure try and keep it this way!
- Spring~ It's been so nice to be able to send my kids out, and go walking in the evenings, and see some green peeking out. Also, we have 3 baby calves right behind our house, and they are SO cute and fun to watch. The snow this morning, kind of ruined this one, but I'm thankful it's been nice as along as it has!
- My Brother-in-law, Nick~ He can always make me laugh at something (usually him) & He is cute with my kids. We don't see him much, since they don't live close, but he's a pretty good guy! Happy birthday to you today too!
- Girls Camp~ I'm getting more excited about this! I think we have some great girls and I have good leaders to work with. I have felt the Spirit as I have tried to find the things that the girls need most right now and I've needed that in my own life!
- It's Friday~ I just like Fridays! Derrick and the kids will be around, I don't have to get up early to get the kids ready for school, and well, I just like Fridays!
- Two laundry rooms~ What a smart hubby I have to think of this. I can't even tell you how much easier this makes my life. If you ever build a house, put the plumbing in, just in case...It's the BEST!
I think that's all for today, not all I'm thankful for, but all I'm going to put on my list!

A Good Day!
Do you ever have a day that is just good? Well, today was that day for me. Nothing really special happened, but everything just seemed to go well. I got my house all cleaned, which always makes me feel better about things. I had my first official camp meeting with the other leaders & I felt like we came up with some good ideas. Now if the rest of the planning goes this smoothly, I'll volunteer for camp every year (wishful thinking I know). My sweet sister took my kids during the meeting so I didn't have to worry about that. I made us all binders so we can maybe be organized. They were super easy and I thought they turned out cute.
The boys had wrestling again tonight and they both did well. Kaleb wrestled his cousin Bryson and I just laughed the entire time. They both had these huge grins, it was just playing around like they do everyday, they were just having fun. Brock did so much better this week, he got in there and really tried, I was really proud of him. My mom kept Carlie. What a life-saver, she is really hard to manage there. Anyway, like I said nothing special, but all together it made for a great day. Now I'm off for a hot bath to end my great day right!

I'm going to my ROOM!
So, now do you believe me? Well, Thursday night, I had finally had enough and was in the mood to clean (plus I couldn't sleep). I started at about 11 and well, I finally finished at around 2! That would be A.M.! I can't tell you how happy I was! I love my room again, seriously, I'm not going to send the kids to time out any more, I'm going~ TO MY ROOM! I got my mom's invites done, and the birthday post cards she asked for, a little gift for my mother-in-laws birthday that is coming up, and 3 bibs cut out! It's so much easier and funner when you can find everything. Now I'm ready to paint the walls and decorate in here.
And my nice shelves (that my sweet hubby built me) are all organized!

Wrestling
Well, the verdict is in...I hate, despise, dread and loathe Thursdays! Thursday evening is now wrestling night for my boys. Can you say chaos? Seriously, 50-60 boys, ages 4-12, running, yelling, whistles. I think I get a headache 5 minutes after walking in every week and I could really use a Valium to help me get through it. I know it's a good experience for them, but it's hard to remember that when they are upset because they lost or got hurt. I really don't like watching their matches, I feel so bad for them...their poor little bodies get twisted into very un-natural positions and the looks of pain on their faces, well, it just makes me want to cry. I should be used to all this. I grew up going to matches with my younger brother, not only did he wrestle in the league here, but we traveled to matches almost every Saturday. I really feel that wrestling is one of the hardest sports, you are on a team, but they can't help you out, it's all you, the focus is on you and only you, with no one to help you get out of those tight spots. I am glad that the boys are getting this chance, but as a mom, I REALLY don't like it, and I won't be sad if they decide not to do it again next year!

Afternoon at the Park!
I'm getting excited for the warmer weather. I always seem to get a bit stir-crazy at this time of year. I want to be outside, but it's still a bit chilly. My SIL,sister and I decided to take the younger kids to the park this afternoon. It was so nice to be outside. I think they enjoyed it more because they haven't been for awhile! Kaleb is such a little monkey and can't just climb where he is supposed to, but has to climb on top of the slides and things. He scares me, he goes so quickly across the top. Carlie had so much fun. Last year she was still a bit too little to really enjoy the park, but this year will be great. She had fun with her cousins,Tylie and Addie. She is right in the middle of them, Addie is 8 months older and Ty is 8 months younger, they play so cute together. We love living so close to our cousins.....it's so much fun!

A Super Special Day!
Yesterday turned out to be such a special day. I always stress so much over getting everything ready, and getting the house cleaned, and it always seems to work out. Brock looked so handsome all dressed in white. I thought the program went well, and of course when Derrick and I did the spotlight, I cried. I cry over everything, I don't know why I thought this would be different, but I was crying before I could even get one word out. I am so proud of him! He is a super great kid and I feel lucky to be his mom.
We are so blessed with really great families. My brother Kyle, baptized Brock and my other brother, Shad, confirmed him. It was his choice, and has know for a long time that he wanted his Uncles to be the ones to baptize and confirm him. We had family travel from West Bountiful, West Jordan and Cedar City to be here. We had a bunch of help with the dinner after, which made it SO much easier for me. It's great to have family support at things like this. A big thank you to everyone who pitched in and those who traveled to spend Brock's day with him! After we got the baptism and dinner all finished, Derrick was sweet and cleaned up while I took a nap. How did I get so lucky?
Most of the girls in the family (me, my sis, Grandma, my SIL Katy, and my mom, oh, and my dad decided to come along at the last minute) had plans to go to the Junior Prom floor show at the high school here. Just as I finished getting ready the power went out, so I wasn't sure we would go. We ended up deciding to go anyway, but the freeway was closed. We tried one frontage road and it was closed, come to find out, there was a power line down on the freeway and frontage road. Luckily there was one more road we could take and we made it. I was so glad we did. My sweet cousin Skyler looked so beautiful and I would have felt terrible if we'd have missed her special night. Sky is my girl...she was the flower girl at our wedding, she was only 4, almost 5 then,I can't believe she is 17 now. It kills me to see my little girl all grown up. Sky and her sisters come and visit, and we end up talking for hours. She is a beautiful girl, inside and out, and I have to say she is one of my best friends! Most everyone else calls me Mo, but Sky calls me Monna, she always has, and I'm sure always will. When we got home the power was still out. It ended up being out for a total of about 5 hours. All in all it turned out to be a super special day!
