{Catch Up #7- First Day of School 2010}

First Day of School-2010

Brock- 5th Grade

Kaleb- 3rd Grade
with his teacher Mrs. Allen (who was Brock's teacher in 3rd grade).
What handsome boys I have!
Miss Carlie's first day of her second year of Preschool.
and with her fantabulous teacher, Miss Monica (aka-Mom).
of course Carlie and Ty had to have one together.... since they are sister's, you know!
(cousins, sisters.... close enough, right?)

{Catch Up #6- Annual Friends Camping Trip at the Lake}

Evey year (OK in all honesty we just started this last year, but I really hope we do this every year, because I love it) we plan a camp out at Yuba Lake with a group of friends. The guys (Brandon, Brett, Derrick and James) have been buddies forever, but luckily all the wives and kiddos get a long great too!

Carlie is my little water baby. She loves being at the lake....she was sure we needed to celebrate her birthday at Lake Powell.

Mr. Brock.... quit growing up so fast, would ya?
(Love the crazy boat hair)
Isn't she just cute?
Baby Callie, with Uncle Brett....ummm, yummo SAND!
Carlie, Kady and Paige
Derrick and Brock just chillaxin!
SO, Brandon and Christie brought Kami's brothers water weenie (call it a banana if you will, but to me it will always be a water weenie). Are you impressed I got on it? Yea, well Christie and Ronni basically gave me no choice. Yes, I was terrified. Yes, I may have said a few not nice words. Yes, I did have fun!
All the kiddo's lined up (minus Callie).... Brock, Carlie, Damon, Tyce, Kaleb, Kady, Kyle, Paige and Colby. Yep-we have 10 kids all together, how did that happen?
Most of the kids took a turn!
While we chilled in the boat.
Kaleb of course had to surf on the weenie!
Then the Cummings Clan took a turn!
and Derrick wasn't the nicest driver, in fact he may be fired!
Sorry, Christie I had to add this one.... it cracks me up every time I see it!
Good times! I can't wait till next year, and hopefully James and Kami won't have to go home early!

{Catch Up #5- Four Weelin' Fun}

We've been on some fun four wheelin' adventures the past few months, and though each one deserves it's own post, I'm really trying to get through my catch ups, so I'm just lumping them all together... just think of it as smorgasbord o' four wheeling fun- K thanxs! The first little venture we took, we drug along my mama and my papa and headed to Beaver and then up the mountain. We had no destination in mind and randomly picked a trail and took off.

(not sure why that random Much better is floating there? Oh well, WHATEV)
Mom and I agreed that we defiantly like the trails rated "more difficult" than the trails rated "most difficult". Don't get me wrong, it's not that I can't drive it, I just would rather not.... but if I must, I'll suck it up and hit the gas (if we're going up) or ride my breaks if we're heading down, cause I'm a good sport like that. Also, a word to the wise, if you happen to be following my hubby and there are two trails, and one is a short cut.... for the love of all that's holy, take the long way! THERE USUALLY IS A LONG WAY FOR A REASON. (This I learned as we're heading almost straight up and bouncing over rocks, with kids riding with us?!?) Carlie got so tired, she fell asleep and Derrick put her in the little back section of his bike, where she promptly woke up, of course!

A few weeks later we planned at trip with our fantastic friends, Jason and Misti and their cute boys. ( I know this picture is random, be patient- you'll see why I took a Pizza Hut pic) So in case you didn't know, there is no Pizza Hut round these parts. So, we jumped on the four wheelers and headed over the top of the mountain and into Richfield for some pizza. It was a great little jaunt, that we defiantly should have started earlier, seein' as how we were still on the very top of the mountain when it got dark! Let's just say it's a much different experience to drive down the mountain in the darkness! Would I do it again.... Heck ya!
A few weeks later, we headed back to Beaver with Jason and Misti and all the kids. This time Derrick knew just where he wanted to go. He wanted to check out all the places he snowmobiles, minus the snow! (Twilight Girls, notice the Cullen Creek Road sign that I took a picture of just for all of you!)
Derrick and I chillin' while the kiddo's explore!
Derrick, Kamdyn, Kaleb and Carlie
(Hmmm, I must have missed taking pictures of Brock and Kadyn? They were there!)
We had a great time, and definitely need to go again soon before it's too cold!

{Catch Up #4- Tea with the Queen

I seriously need to get these catch-up posts done, so I can blog about all the fun stuff that's currently going on!

In August, Carlie received the cutest, girlie, pink and purple invitation in the mail (if I don't say so myself) ? The front read- "Once Upon a Time"

the inside said (sorry for the sideways picture, I'm too lazy to go turn it and reload it)

Four Little Princesses were invited to a TEA PARTY with the Queen.

They were invited to dress up and time and date info followed.

The four cousins all met at my house and I got them all dressed in their pretty party dresses, and we headed out on a walk to the Queens house!

Tylie, Addie, Carlie, and Kamryn

for some reason, I have no pictures of the Princesses with the Queen? The Queen has one, but it's too much effort right now to walk the not even half a block to get it!

The Princesses enjoyed a story, totally rocked their crowns, ate finger sandwiches and cookies, and had a fun afternoon which they are still talking about with their Queen Gram!

{Catch Up #3- Mini Cheer Camp}

In August, Carlie got to go to Mini Cheer Camp! I can't even tell you how excited she was, and I'm pretty sure this is just the beginning of our Cheerleader days! She seems to be cheering all the time now, on four-wheeler rides, in the car, in her room, any where and everywhere! They had 3 days of practices, a little performance for the parents and then got to cheer at the first JV home game!

It was even more fun that she got to go with her cousins Tylie (who wouldn't let me take a picture of them together) and Addie, and her Aunt Sydney!

{Catch Up #2- More Fun with the OK Dearden's}

When Nick and Amber were here we took a few days off to go spend some time at Grandma Jeannie and Mike's. The first afternoon we took the kids to Bountiful Rec Center for some swimming fun! We hadn't been there since it was "The Bubble" and it was fun to see all the changes! The kids had tons of fun on the slides and both the indoor and the outdoor water play areas..... I even sucked it up and went down the big slide. Kaleb kicking back and relaxing in the water!
Brock....slippin and a slidin!
Carlie watchin' the slide action with her Daddy!
Kanyon and Nick coming down the slide!
What a cutie!
Kaleb and Carlie had to try out the climbing wall before we headed back to Grandma's house! (Brock did too, but I didn't get a picture of him)
K's gettin dry!
Day 2- Patiently waiting for breakfast at IHOP! After Breakfast we headed into the Living Planet Aquarium. Our kids have been there a few times, but they always love to go back!
Kanyon... isn't he such a cutie!
Kaleb, Carlie, Brock and Kanyon
Brock
Kaleb
Carlie- That's one big smile!
Kaleb thought the spider area they had as we left was the best.... just look at the look on his face!

Since we don't have all the kids together very often, we attempted to get a few pictures!
Cute Cousins!
Brock, Kaleb, Kanyon & Carlie
The Dearden Cousins
And then after a yummy BBQ dinner back at Jeannie and Mike's we started the long drive home. I don't even think we made it to Salt Lake before the majority of the kiddos crashed! I guess that means we all had a great time!
